WELCOME to Hinkson Angus Ranch and thanks for stopping by our little spot on the web. We are located in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas, about 12 miles south of historic Cottonwood Falls. Our cow herd consists of approximately 400 cows of which half calve in the spring and half in the fall. We host our "Optimum Performance Bull Sale" on the third Tuesday of March each year, where we will sell over 100 high performance quality bulls. Over 70% of our customers are repeat buyers. |
| We are a family-run, fourth generation operation that originated in 1960 with the purchase of the first cows. We don't raise Angus as a week-end hobby or a tax write off. Angus cattle is our livelihood, so raising a quality product is not an option, it is a must! In our operation, the owner, cow herd manager, managing partner, secretary, maintenance operator, AI tech, farm manager, groundskeeper, record keeper, and baby calf tagger all have Hinkson as a last name. |
| We have been around long enough to see Angus cattle too small, too big, then just right. We have added the terms AI, ET, AHIR, EPD, IMF and REA to our vocabulary. We have seen the fads come and go, been through the good years and the bad years, made some great decisions and some stupid mistakes, but one thing that has remained constant is our philosophy towards Angus cattle: "To produce predictable, problem-free cattle that excel in any and all environments!" |
